Note 1: NAGM 5/30/04: the minimum age was lowered from 4½ to 4 (age as of beginning of the season on 7/31). Regions can decide whether to implement that change, as well as the formation of a separate U6 and U5 division or one single U6 division.
Note 2: NAGM 5/27/07: as of 8/1/08 (see policy statement 8.1) children who have reached the age of 4 as of the date of the first practice or game are allowed to be registered and participate. Regions can decide whether to implement that change, UPON APPROVAL OF THE SECTION DIRECTOR.
